Interim Station Manager – 92.5 Phoenix FM

About Us:
92.5 Phoenix FM is an award-winning community radio station based in the Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15. We are one of 21 community stations in Ireland, providing a platform for the diverse voices of Dublin 15. A registered charity, regulated by  Coimisiún na Meán and the Charities Regulator, we are funded by Pobal, Fingal CC, fundraising, and advertising.

The Role:
We are seeking an Interim Station Manager to oversee and coordinate the smooth running of the station during a period of transition. The role focuses on organisational leadership, staff and volunteer management, governance, and operational continuity, while ensuring that broadcasting activities meet the station’s commitments and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a small team of staff and a large group of volunteers to ensure effective station operations.
  • Oversee administration, governance, and compliance with broadcasting, charity, and co-operative regulations.
  • Maintain good communication across staff, volunteers, and the Board.
  • Monitor budgets, reporting and funding commitments in line with agreed procedures.
  • Support the Board in implementing strategic and operational priorities.
  • Represent the station in dealings with community partners, funders, and stakeholders.

About You:
You will have strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience in people management, nonprofit administration and an understanding of community development

You will be approachable, adaptable, confident in supporting teams, managing workloads and ensuring accountability. Experience in broadcasting or community media is helpful but not essential.

Terms:
This is a full-time interim position, for up to 3 months, based on a 39-hour week. Some flexibility will be required for meetings or events outside regular hours.
